About Jan Moja
I started my legal career in Gwinnett County in 1990 as a Law Clerk in Gwinnett Superior Court. Following my Clerkship, I joined a law firm in downtown Atlanta focusing primarily on divorce litigation. I quickly realized I prefer mediation over litigation. So in 1996, I decided to open Moja Mediation Services. At that time, I also worked as a Guardian Ad Litem, representing children in contested custody cases in both Superior and Juvenile Courts.
In 2004, I became a part-time Magistrate Judge in Gwinnett County. As a result, I was given the opportunity to preside in all Courts including: Superior Court; State Court; Juvenile Court and Probate Court. Because of my background, I spent significant time on the bench in Superior and Juvenile Courts, hearing mostly divorce and child-related cases. I retired from the bench in 2015 and now my practice is devoted entirely to Mediation; Arbitration and Case Evaluation.
I have successfully mediated over 2,000 cases. I truly believe in the ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) process and I am convinced that most cases can be resolved conveniently, comfortably, efficiently and economically by utilizing Mediation, Arbitration and Case Evaluation.
